This Privacy Policy explains how ClubWatch ("ClubWatch," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use the ClubWatch ecosystem: our Bluetooth golf club trackers, the free ClubWatch mobile app for iOS and Android, the ClubWatch Advanced premium subscription, our online store, and our websites (collectively, the "Service"). Please read it carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on which parts of the Service you use:
- Account information — name, email address, phone number, password, and profile details you provide when you create a ClubWatch account.
- Purchase & subscription information — orders placed through our online store and ClubWatch Advanced subscriptions. Payments are processed by our payment and app-store partners; we receive transaction confirmation and limited billing details but do not store full card numbers.
- Device & tracker data — the ClubWatch trackers screwed into your grips communicate with the app over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). We collect tracker identifiers, signal/connection status, battery level, and which clubs are paired or detected in play.
- Location & GPS data— when enabled, we collect location from your mobile device to power left-behind alerts, Find My Club, automatic distance tracking, and GPS course maps. This includes your device's position during a round and the last-known location of a club that triggers an alert.
- Round & performance data — scores, courses played, shots and clubs used, putts per round, shot distances, and related golf analytics generated through the app and ClubWatch Advanced.
- Swing media (AI Swing Analysis) — videos and images you record or upload for analysis, along with the resulting Swing Score and feedback.
- AI interactions — questions and chat content you submit to the Rules Official AI and other AI features.
- CW Social content — your profile, posts, shared rounds and stats, follows, comments, and other content you choose to share with the ClubWatch community.
- Third-party connections — if you link your GHIN account for handicap integration and score posting, we process the data needed to support that connection.
- Usage & technical data — device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, log data, and analytics about how you interact with the Service.
- Communications — messages you send to our support team.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide core club tracking, including left-behind alerts and Find My Club
- Deliver ClubWatch Advanced features such as AI Swing Analysis, the Rules Official AI, the digital scorecard, club analytics, distance tracking, GPS course maps, and CW Social
- Process orders, manage subscriptions, and send related transactional messages
- Post scores to GHIN and sync handicap data when you connect your account
- Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages
- Respond to your questions and customer service requests
- Maintain, improve, and develop new features, and provide aggregated or de-identified analytics
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms
4. Location & GPS Data
Location data is central to several ClubWatch features. We use your mobile device's location to alert you when a club is left behind, to show a club's last-known position on the course map (Find My Club), to measure shot distances automatically, and to display GPS course maps. You can grant or revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings or the app, though doing so will limit or disable these features. We do not sell your location data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5. Swing Media & AI Features
When you use AI Swing Analysis, we process the videos or images you provide to generate your Swing Score and coaching feedback. When you use the Rules Official AI or other AI tools, we process the content you submit to return a response. We may use trusted AI and cloud service providers to perform this processing on our behalf, subject to confidentiality and security obligations. AI-generated output — including swing feedback and rules guidance — is provided for informational purposes and may not always be accurate or complete; it is not a substitute for a certified instructor or an official ruling.
6. CW Social & Public Content
CW Social lets you share a profile, rounds, stats, and posts with the ClubWatch community and find playing partners. Content and profile details you choose to make public, or share with other users, can be seen, copied, and re-shared by them. Please be thoughtful about what you post. You can adjust your sharing preferences and delete content you have posted through the app.
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:
- With service providers who help us operate the Service — for example, cloud hosting, payment and app-store processing, AI processing, mapping, and analytics partners
- With GHIN/the USGA when you connect your account to post scores or sync your handicap
- With other users, when you share content through CW Social or make your profile or rounds public
- To comply with legal obligations or respond to lawful requests
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of ClubWatch, our users, or others
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets
8. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
On our websites we use cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics/Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to understand traffic, measure advertising performance, and improve the Service. These tools may set cookies and collect identifiers and usage data, and may enable interest-based advertising. You can instruct your browser to refuse cookies or use platform opt-out and ad-personalization controls, though some features may not function properly without cookies.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data as described below.

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information.
